Tamally Maak Video Reaches 1.000.000 Views
Serge never sang in Arabic before he says;
"I had my Egyptian friend Khalid, help me with the pronunciation. I was aware that I can never sound like a native speaker but I wanted to do my best and the feedback I got from the audiences from the Middle-East is overwhelmingly positive. I owe a big thanks to Amr Diab and his team as well as the composers of this beautiful song Ahmed Ali Moussa and Sherif Tag."
"When I first heard "Tamally Maak" by Amr Diab I was captivated immediately", says Serge Nikol. "I would listen to it over and over for months. I am a big Amr Diab fan. This song is powerful and has a way of pulling you in even if you don't understand a single word. I am very happy to see this kind of positive reaction by the audiences from all over the world. My long time collaborator Etric Lyons gave me the idea to cover this song and was the driver behind us documenting our live performance at Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse.

"I don't want to give anything away", says Serge. "All I'll say is that there are 2 songs in Arabic, 2 original songs and one song is in Russian. Toronto is such a multicultural city and whatever language I am singing in, there are always people in the audience from all over the world and the biggest reward to me is the way the audience reacts when they hear me sing in their given language. That element of surprise is priceless and heart-warming. Music is an international language and knows no barriers. Long live music!" says Serge with a smile on his face. "Please stay tuned!".
